Brad Baca is beginning his 4th year at Atlanta ISD, as he moves into the new role of assistant principal at Atlanta High School. In the previous six years, Coach Baca led the Pittsburg Pirate Football team to unmatched success including two, 10 win seasons, 5 straight playoff appearances, and 4 playoff wins. Over 20 Football players went on to play college football under his watch. During that time, support of athletics in Pittsburg was tremendous seeing over $7 million being poured into athletic facilities including football stadium upgrades and the building of a new competition gym. Coach Baca has also grew the athletic program by adding several sports and coaching positions.Baca also spearheaded an effort to launch a new digital platform to offer a unified home for pirate athletics for student-athletes and the Pittsburg community amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This entire platform was launched in a little over two weeks time, from the first meeting, and now provides 100% digital ticketing and live streaming of all pirate sports to help adhere to safety guidelines provided by the UIL, state, and local health authorities.Prior to that he had assistant coaching stints at Brownsboro and Tyler Chapel Hill, highlighted by winning the 2011 3A-Division 1 State Championship with Chapel Hill as a Wide Receiver's coach.
