Utilizing my technical knowledge and customer management as a design engineer, I was promoted to head of sales, where my focus was to build on current customer relationships and hunt for new business within the automotive design and vehicle conversion industries.Responsibilities include:- Generating leads from cold outreach marketing and telephone calls- Converting leads into appointments/meetings/orders- Building and managing a sales pipeline- Attending industry exhibitions and events- Managing a small sales team- Generating technical specifications/proposals based on customer requirements- Working alongside CEO and other department leads to generate costings and pricing- Responding and actively searching bid/tender opportunities- Creating concept designs using Solidworks 3D CAD to accompany customer/tender proposals- Managing the project from initial concept design, through manufacture to the finished product with the design team.- Working with the Head of Production to manage timelines and customer delivery dates- Developing marketing strategies and improvements to customer acquisition.- Seeking out and hunting for new business opportunities in other commercial sectors

Currently working as a Automotive Design Engineer from October 2014 to present. Have been fortunate enough to be acting as the sole design engineer on the development of a variety of products from initial concepts through to production for use on the flagship Crossway vehicle. These include the snorkel, passenger and drivers side door weapon storage systems, dashboard instrument panel and binnacles, rear light bar, armoured engine cover, armoured ECU container, armoured electrical loom labyrinth, front grill, exhaust system, fold away rear seats, rear seat underside storage cabinets, various interior panels, armoured fuel line protection, turbo heat shield, numerous brackets and the hand rail/guttering. Together with modifying, updating and improving existing aspects of the vehicle through testing and development, FEA, or general issues with build or usage. Following on from the Crossway Vehicle I have also been largely involved with a reconditioning project for the Viking, Warthog and Bulldog PWMs (Protected Weapon Mounts). My responsibilities within this project involved reverse engineering of parts, creating engineering drawings, producing an entire parts list for each of the three vehicle variants, applying for Nato Stock Numbers, assisting with the technical publications and creating a vast majority of the illustrations that were used in the AESP (Army Equipment Support Publications).
