After hiring countless contractors and full-time software engineers, Brad was easily one of a very select few that "got away." Here are some reasons why: 1. Brad was punctual and very quickly added constructive collaboration and communication during meetings. 2. He is as socially intelligent as he was technically intelligent. A master in both domains. 3. Although he contracted with us, he become a member of the "team" very early on and remained a unique advisor to me on how the different front-end product team's were handling things. 4. He had an uncanny ability to adapt to new projects, frameworks, and methodologies. 5. Brad was fast. He rivaled some of my most senior front-end engineers in throughput and velocity with very little churn within his pull requests. 6. He was incredibly humble and very much adhered to "chain of command". If there were opportunities where he saw a way to improve something, he always had a constructive mindset that considered his role as a contractor on a team of full-time engineers. If opposing viewpoints went head to head, he helped drive navigating through the different perspectives very well. I really wish I could come up with some weaknesses or traits where Brad could go into overdrive but I truly honestly can't think of anything. If you are considering working with Brad or hiring him, I guess the one thing I might mention is that in our first interview, Brad seemed a little nervous but it was just nerves. I think back to that interview and both my team, our directors, and everyone he encountered at AMU would have been sorely mistaken of not extending a contract to him. I only wished that our team had the budget to hire him full time. His code and contributions to our projects still remains in many applications, standing the test of time. In summary, Brad is one of the few engineers I've met that could easily serve as a principle engineer or leader of a team and beyond. I can't recommend him enough."
