The Operational Flight Program (OFP) had only recently incorporated the High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) weapon, and users were seeking greater inflight control missile data. Given the schedule and perceived priorities, software development of this capability was delayed. Using fleet contacts, was able to take software engineers aboard a carrier during flight operations for the first time to talk with users regarding desired capability.
