Represented user community interests to software and hardware developers providing life-cycle support to the EA-6B aircraft. During a period of reduced manning, selected to assume duties of Systems Software Lead managing Operational Flight Program requirements, configuration control, testing, and release cycle. Presented software discrepancy solutions and designs to fleet users during quarterly review boards. The Operational Flight Program (OFP) had only recently incorporated the High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) weapon, and users were seeking greater inflight control missile data. Given the schedule and perceived priorities, software development of this capability was delayed. Using fleet contacts, was able to take software engineers aboard a carrier during flight operations for the first time to talk with users regarding desired capability. Experience led software design group to deliver desired capability one and a half year ahead of previous schedule at negligible additional cost. Show less
