I am a Senior Leader in a multinational nonprofit with 20 years of experience in leadership roles for multicultural teams. I have helped my culturally diverse teams work more effectively together so that we can better accomplish our goals of providing better outcomes and a higher quality of life for the communities we serve.As I've progressed from Team Leader to Area Leader to Regional Leader to the International Leadership Team for the whole organization of 3000+ employees working in over 100 countries, in each role, I have focused on empowering our female members and leaders and our non-western members and leaders.Having grown up overseas as a Third Culture Kid, and having lived overseas in cross-cultural contexts almost my entire adult life, I know what it feels like to be a cultural outsider. I leverage this understanding to help my multicultural teams better understand one another and better serve the diverse communities we are serving.As an Adjunct University Professor of Intercultural Studies, I focus on helping my students understand and appreciate the beauty and complexities of other cultures and cross-cultural dynamics so that they can be better employees and leaders in our increasingly multicultural world.My passion is to help individuals, teams and organizations to unleash the potential of multicultural teams and to give them the skills and tools to leverage that potential effectively for accomplishing their personal and organizational goals and objectives.Countries I've lived in (6 months or longer): The Democratic Rep of Congo, USA, Madagascar, Morocco, and Spain.Countries I've visited (for work purposes, other than tourism): Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Chad, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Mauritania, Ecuador, Thailand, Singapore, England, France, Netherlands, Hungary, Russia, Georgia and Peru.
