As an Industrial Engineer, my entire career has been focused on eliminating waste and creating flow in complex manufacturing and administrative systems. My Kaizen / Continuous Improvement journey began in 1997 when I had the opportunity to work with and learn from Shingijutsu consultants that my employer partnered with. This hands-on experience became the foundation of my career in continuous improvement, and a few years ago I had the opportunity to participate in an intense learning experience with them in Japan. Since then, I have worked with the U.S. Air Force and Navy, as well as hundreds of companies ranging from industry giants to small niche suppliers in a variety of industries around the world focused entirely on Kaizen / Continuous Improvement. This experience gave me the confidence to co-found Stream in 2011. Stream is a Cincinnati-based process innovation and lean consulting firm that partners with clients to improve the profitability, productivity, quality and efficiency of their businesses. Streaminnovation.comIn late 2014, we had just completed a successful project with a custom suit manufacturer. So we decided to apply our continuous improvement philosophy and apparel manufacturing experience to launch Valor Custom Denim. After a couple years of research, buying equipment and producing prototypes, we launched in June of 2017. Valor offers complete customization of fit and materials, with a streamlined value stream that links the customer directly to the manufacturer.
