Almost three decades of experience as Director of multi-discipline parks departments, and as a strategic planning consultant for municipal agencies. Founded The Kelly Group (www.cowardlyleadership.com) to leverage my expertise in strategic planning, operational reviews and meeting facilitation for local and state governments- this was augmented with my period as part of the Municipal Services Management Division with CH2M Hill OMI. I became interested in investing over 40 years ago, and over time have focused more on the importance of investing and planning for retirement. The last 6-8 years I have concentrated the bulk of my time to generating income for my wife and I in order to have a comfortable retirement, and have created retirement plans for friends, family, and now parks and recreation professionals as well as for ourselves. Recently partnered with LandDesign, a nationwide Urban Planning Firm in Charlotte to research and develop the operations management portion of the strategic plan for the City of Salisbury, NC. Also assisted Gold Medal Force, LLC in preparation of large County Parks and Recreation Master Plan in Georgia.
