Work on site directing manpower, ensure proper safety procedures and working conditions, evaluate future material needs, order and receive material, execute payroll activities, and coordinate efforts with client representation at the job site.Work with a supervising Senior Project Manager while performing Project Management activities including scheduling, evaluating change orders, executing purchase orders and change orders, preparing daily and weekly reports, and maintaining document control drawing control and schedule updating. Meet with clients, inspectors, sub-contractors, and superintendents to assist in all aspects of the project as well as ensure proper coordination between parties.Perform estimate “take-offs” of all Civil, Site, and Mechanical portions of potential projects as well as preparation of bid schedules for proposals.

Commercial design/build engineering.

Designed all aspects of wood structures, lateral and gravity components, from foundation to roof;Evaluated and applied soil classification information from soils reports to design the foundations. Supported project permitting by interfacing with code-enforcement entities in project jurisdiction. Worked extensively in high seismic design as well as hurricane prone areas requiring significant adaptation of standard structural engineering practices.Assisted in creating spreadsheets for shear wall design and deflection. Proficiently modified existing programs to meet the needs of my projects.

Building Fire and Research Lab, Structures Division:Collected and analyzed structural responses of frames from available wind tunnel data and compared results with accepted ASCE 7 standards; and researched the Database Assisted Design method to help identify shortcomings of the ASCE 7 prescribed pressure coefficients.

Designed drainage system layouts and properties, for parking lots, roadways, and sub-divisions;Designed roadways (including layouts, land procurement, signage, striping, traffic signal design, weigh-in-motion systems) and the initial LA Highway 1 elevated evacuation route; and Evaluated soil reports to design roadway layouts and roadway properties. Provided cost estimations for roadway construction projects ranging up to $500 million. These estimations were used by the state as well as SCG in evaluating bids as well as construction.Evaluated overall project layouts and designs to prevent potential constructability issues as well as any negative impacts on project sites as well as surround land.

Assisted licensed plumbers in commercial building sites where I was exposed to all phases of the construction projects and the practical implementation of design.
