I build more than teams, I build team members. ══ PHILOSOPHY ══ It’s truly an honor to have been a top-level executive responsible for both the operational and financial performance of Arizona’s largest privately held water and wastewater utility, a sludge hauling company and a small nine-hole golf course. I was proud to have established and managed relationships with city, county and state government officials and state regulatory agencies. A major contribution I made was successfully leading one hundred corporate and front-line staff members in the day-to-day operations of three companies. I developed budgets and tracking spreadsheets and successfully achieved all P&L performance objectives, as well as developing relationships with local and state elected officials and regularly communicated with them to ensure our business objectives were supported. I’m happy to say that I continuously met operational, financial and growth goals for a $30M a year water and wastewater utility serving more than 27,000 water customers and 38,000 wastewater customers. I leverage my expertise to integrate a single harmonized system because I find it to be the most efficient and beneficial method. I work as a liaison to ensure that everyone has what they need to meet their full potential. Executive operations specialist, I improved teams and the bottom line because a facility can’t operate at peak efficiency without being maintained properly. ══ DEVELOPMENT ══ I synchronized our processes, managing all aspects of the operations and maintenance project for my company while serving as District Manager for the client, Pine-Strawberry Water Improvement District. It was an honor to have successfully managed and achieved budgeted 18% profit margin on a $1.037M a year Operations, Maintenance and Management project. I was chosen to manage a client’s eight-hundred-thousand dollar capital improvement program as well as their operations and maintenance program. It was through the development of my successful business models and budget models that provided the reports presented to the client’s Board of Directors and the public on the status of capital projects, operations and assets. A critical component of an overall facilities program is its proper management. A proper management function should bind the distinct parts of the program into a cohesive entity. Sustainability is another important aspect. A well program should conserve energy and water and be resource efficient, while meeting the comfort, health, and safety requirements of the building occupants. Building a team that performs to their most means fostering an environment for them to thrive in. I believe in this along with leading by example, and seeing the good where others may not.
