I have worked in the insurance industry for 7 years. Firstly as an out of hours customer advisor, working for Lanes Assistant Services, the role mainly consisted of completing customer satisfaction surveys and attempting to book appointments that we were unable to book during the day. I then moved to UKDN Waterflow in December 2015 where I began as a claims handler, dealing with our reactive clients and customers. After a year at the company, I became the customer services senior of the reactive and commercial team. During this role I really grew as member of the company as I learned how to lead a team and not just be part of it. In August 2017, I stepped down from being a senior to take on a new challenge as a Technical Estimator. I have since been in this role for a number of years working on both mains & private drainage systems and water mains supplies learning how to determine the cause of damage, the most cost effective method of repair and also, if the damage is covered under a list of different insurance companies. I have also recently moved into the construction sector, creating and managing tenders for washrooms packages on building refurbishments & new builds. During my career I have become trained in FSC regulations, I am a certified first aider & have competed courses to receive my Water Hygiene Card, as well as the ability to oversee and install CIPP & RSR repairs in drainage.
