Lead the Transportation Department for HNTB's second largest office (Bellevue, WA). The Transportation Department in Bellevue includes 70 talented, collaborative, and fun technicians and engineers with project management and design expertise in Roadway Design/Modeling, Hydraulic/Hydrology, ITS, Signals/Signing, Traffic Incident Management, Maintenance of Traffic, and so much more. The Transportation Department serves many clients such as WSDOT, Sound Transit, King County, Port of Seattle, Seattle DOT, and other offices and clients throughout the Western United States.

Into the 4th year of operations including opening a new office in Yakima, WA; hiring staff; staff development; office and staff leadership; office budgeting; and growth in number of employees. Brad also has experience in sales including marketing; proposal development; project interview preparation and participation; development of scopes and fees; and business development. .Current project work includes performing as Consultant Project Director leading the Jacobs consultant team supporting WSDOT South Central Region (SCR) in delivering their Pre-Existing Fund (PEF) and Connecting Washington programs. I provide staff oversight, client coordination, task order review, budget estimating, billing review, staff forecast/needs, and project controls. The Jacobs team is supporting WSDOT SCR in completing surveys; developing final plans, specifications, and estimates; environmental documentation; project scheduling and program management support, utility design support, traffic design support, work zone traffic control design; as well as, performing material testing and construction inspection. Work includes projects ranging from roundabout design, new highway alignment, truck climbing lanes, concrete panel replacement, pavement rehabilitation, adding general purpose lanes, intersection improvements, bridge deck rehabilitation, and other infrastructure projects.

Three most recent projects include:East Link: Bellevue to Overlake Transit Center, Seattle, WA (Sound Transit) – Light-rail project extending new track alignment 14 miles from I-90 at Bellevue to Redmond, WA. My role includes project management expertise as Contract Change Manager and Utility Agreement Support for this $1 billion project. I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Design-Build, Los Angeles, CA (Owner: Metropolitan Transit Authority; Client: Kiewit) – My roles included project management expertise as Contract Manager and Utilities Lead Engineer, and design expertise as Segment 3 Utilities Engineer for this $1+ billion project. This project improves and widens HOV lanes from the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) to Ventura Freeway (U.S. 101).I-15 Utah County Corridor Rehabilitation Management Design-Build, Utah County, UT (Owner/Client: Utah DOT) – Part of the management group, and design team, working with Utah Department of Transportation in developing Request For Proposal plans, specifications, estimate, and technical requirements for the nearly $2 billion reconstruction of I-15. Began as the Lead Roadway Engineer of Segment 1 of the project which spanned from south of Spanish Fork to the southern limits of Provo. Later, Brad was elevated to the Segment 1 Lead.
