This was a role I was assigned to right before GM started announcing cuts and locked down moves and hiring. The manager for my prior role and this role agreed that I would begin work on transitioning into this role but continue to do the prior role as I was working on a program that was launching and a replacement could not be hired since everything was frozen. With this being my official position and the organization this role was in being hit hard by the restructuring cuts the excitement of returning the proving grounds was short lived.
