 Provide leadership for student support and development services in the region.Administer and supervise all student support and development services, whichinclude intervention strategies, English as a second language (ESL) retentionstrategies, assessment of students with special needs, disability services, mental health, student success and career development.  Initiate retention programs and collaborate with academic affairs and other offices. Assess needs and extend community outreach services. Maintain and manage the fiscal resources of the student support and development services area. Supervise and evaluate student support and development personnel Oversees functions in Career Development, including career counseling, job search assistance, job posting and referral processes including HireIvy (the on-line employment referral system). Oversees all career development activities including the annual "Career Day, workshops, and on-campus recruiting & interviewing. Maintains close contact with community businesses and professional groups; cultivating contacts with businesses and industry where job opportunities are likely to yield placement results for students, graduates and alumni. Grant writing  Compiles graduate and employer follow-up data for administrative and external employment reports, produces corresponding reports, and presents findings to administrators, faculty and staff on an annual basis. Provides the College, students, and alumni with current information on labor trends, training requirements and salary information
