During my time with the IMAT I have deployed for multiple events and disasters including: Spring 2008 Flooding in Illinois, 2008 Republican National Convention National Special Security Event (NSSE), Hurricanes Gustav, Hanna and Ike, Whistle Stop Tour and the Presidential Inaugural NSSEs, Spring 2009 Red River flooding along the North Dakota and Minnesota boarder, Guam for Typhoon Melor. During all of these events I was the Resource Unit Leader with responsibility for tracking all federal resources and preparing the Incident Action Plan and other plans as necessary.
