As Project Director (Contractor's Representative) on this fast track Air Force Capability Project, I was responsible for the success delivery of the works across three Air Force bases in Victoria (RAAF East Sale) and Western Australia (RAAF Pearce and RAAF GinGin). Works consist of new aircraft maintenance and storage facilities, classroom and learning environments including synthetic training facilities, working accommodation, airfield works, living in accommodation and associated infrastructure. Since being awarded the works in Sept 15 the project has achieved or exceeded all government approval, access and completion milestones as a result of an exceptional and deliberate approach to collaboration. Works completed ahead of program and delivered defect free. -

It now provides quality accommodation for personnel building the gas processing facilities at Bladin Point. Laing O’Rourke delivered this 3,500-bed establishment, which incorporates indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, an on-site facilities management complex and a medical centre for Ichthys’s workforce.As Project Leader – Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), I managed the project's extensive DfMA component, which saw accommodation modules manufactured in China and shipped to site in Darwin. I was responsible for the design, procurement, off-shore manufacture, delivery and handover of all accommodation modules (3,500 units). Key responsibilities included: recovery of programme delays; stakeholder consultation; design brief and reports; design verification; manufacture and approval of prototypes; concurrent procurement processes; value management; establishment and mobilisation of a team to China for oversight, including schedule management, quality control, compliance, interface with site, factory acceptance testing and handover documentation, including Manufacturers Data Records (MDRs). -
