Team Leader ICT Operations manages a team that is responsible for ensuring the corporation maximizes its return on investment in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technology.The role is responsible in ensuring the integrity, availability, maintenance, replacement and implementation of 'end to end ' SCADA.TL ICT Operations manages/mitigates risk of ICT operations and ensures process and system changes are delivered with change and configuration management including the development and maintenance of GWMWater SCADA standards.Included in this role is to ensure the integrity of PLC's, instrumentation, and RTU's are maintained at all times.

The Manager Operational Support Systems oversees the distribution of unplanned works in acoordinated manner from the Operational Management Control Centre including themanagement of SCADA alarms and initiating out of hour’s field response. The position isresponsible for ensuring that scheduled works are distributed with unplanned works wherepossible to obtain economies of scale efficiencies within the business. The position is alsoresponsible for ensuring the efficient management of corporate resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES1. Identify Plan and coordinate the distribution of planned and unplanned works from a centralised point in an efficient manner. 2. Identify and plan efficiency opportunity through the consolidation of planned and unplanned works.3. Monitor water and wastewater systems and maintain them within their operating parameters through consultation with Plant Operators.4. Supervise, control and monitor the operations of the various SCADA-enabled systems and facilities, including the initiation of a timely response to alarms, in order to ensure the provision of specified service standards.5. Analyse system performance on an ongoing basis, devise and set operating parameters to ensure service standards are being met. 6. Collect, analyse system trends and review historic data to identify operational issues and provide recommendations and reports on improvements to system management resulting from analysis. 7. Liaise with Regional Operations and Water Quality staff to address service delivery issues such as system outages, water quality problems, leaks and breaks and other associated customer complaints.8. Identify and make recommendations for possible improvements in system operation and provide input into the investigation, planning and implementation any identified improvements in accordance with the delegated limits of the position.9. Identify, implement and assist in the solution to any communication and workflow problems observed by suggesting improvements and enhancements to existing systems and processes, in accordance with GWMWater procedures.
