IBM is the world’s leading strategic outsourcing company. The North American Plant IT Support Manager has responsibility for all operational IT support activities at the Visteon US facilities. This position directly reports to the IBM Global IT Plant Manager on the Visteon account. This position interfaces directly with the senior leadership in the Visteon plants , Plant Managers and Controllers, as well as the senior leadership in the Visteon IT organization. The vision of this group is to provide best in class IT support for the plants through ensuring service levels and customer satisfaction targets are achieved. Key accomplishments and responsibilities include: Manage Plant IT support organization for the Visteon Glass, Interior/Exterior, and Climate Control divisions. Responsible for end user computing, networking (data/voice), plant floor applications, servers (UNIX/Intel), and new project launches/support at 11 plants and 2 warehouses in the Eastern United States. Fleetguard operates 23 production plants in nine countries with over 6000 employees. As the manufacturing systems team leader, I supervised the corporate manufacturing systems department that had responsibility for the 24x7 support of the corporate manufacturing applications and for the prioritization of the design, development, and implementation of new releases to the manufacturing applications for Fleetguard’s North American manufacturing facilities. Key accomplishments and responsibilities include: Planned, budgeted, and implemented technology necessary to support corporate and plant initiatives. Managed cross-functional team consisting of users from finance, manufacturing, inventory control, accounting, engineering, and purchasing in the design, development, and implementation of software releases to Fleetguard’s North American MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system. Ensured Y2K readiness of corporate manufacturing applications resulting in no system downtime. Project manager for the implementation of maintenance management and SPC systems at North American plants. Technical resource for MRP replacement project.
