Visteon is a $19B automotive supplier recently spun off from Ford Motor Company. The divisional IT manager has responsibility for all Information Systems activities for Visteon Glass Division consisting of 3 manufacturing sites, distribution center, staff location and joint ventures located in the USA and Mexico, representing $1B in revenue. This position directly reports to the Vice President of the Division and Visteon Director of Regional and Plant Floor Systems. The vision of the IT department is to provide IT alignment with the business through ensuring production and profitability is the highest priority, communicating IT strategies, leveraging IT resources, sharing best practices and creating a desirable working environment. Key accomplishments and responsibilities include: Managed the Glass Division IT personnel supporting 3 plants, staff location, distribution center, and JV sites in meeting plant, divisional, and corporate objectives. Identified and implemented tools and/or processes to support the plant and divisional objectives of downtime reduction, quality, performance, and workgroups.. Managed divisional IT budget of $1.3 M. Identify and implement cost savings opportunities. Identified $100,000 in yearly savings. Project manager for the design, development, and implementation of software applications. Managed 1st level support of data center, network infrastructure, servers, and plant communications (phones, pagers, radios) Managed department budget of $600K. Finished the year 20% better than budget and identified $100K in cost savings. Worked with cross-functional areas to identify opportunities to support the business with application development, implementation, and support. Managed the design, development, and implementation of web-based applications in support of business processes. First information technology manager to serve as an active member of plant’s operating committee.
