Founder And Chief EngineerFactor Mechatronics Jun 2013 - Jul 2016Founded an LLC to research and develop a total immersion virtual reality system. Created a concept combining a full-body haptic exoskeleton, actively controlled multi-axis gimbals, and a helmet-integrated display. Developed a single degree-of-freedom exoskeleton prototype using a custom-design series elastic actuator. Iterated mechanical designs through CAD, 3D printing, and 3D scanning. Designed and constructed an electrical architecture including sensor PCBs and microcontroller code. GUI development utilizing Matlab and Qt. Worked to replace PID controller with a model-based controller.
