As a community coach I am coaching in the community, running high quality sessions for individuals with disabilities while representing SUFC. Ensuring a high customer service is delivered to represent to ensure all feel included.

My work with the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA has been in and around the growth of Disability football in the region. Supporting new clubs to establish their own inclusive programmes,Supporting the Disability and inclusion officer to grow and maintain the national para pathway by working with new clubs in and around Sheffield. To ensure inclusivity, I am proactively promoting the relevant funding and coaching opportunities for the coaches and clubs which I support in and around the local areas.

My employment at Mencap is to work with local campaign groups within the North of England, by supporting and coaching individuals and groups to develop new and exciting campaigns to better the life of people with Learning Disabilities in and around the UK. I have been influential in creating resources for the new business strategy which has been implemented in and around the UK. While working with individuals in different coaching capacities, using different coaching models (Grow & Clear) to support the development of their campaigns. As a regional support for the North I have been influential in delivering talks and workshops to medical professionals around medical inequalities and how regional adjustments for people with Learning disabilities can be made to support the lives and medical care of the people in and around the UK.

As the Head of the Disability Department at Leeds Foundation, it was essential that the department was delivered successfully, my roles and responsibilities included. • Being solely responsible for understanding and developing budgets to ensure the programmes are working to the best possible outcomes. • Writing high quality funding bids to ensure that programmes can be successfully delivered within the community. • Having the main responsibility for the safeguarding requirements for the programme. - Building and retaining successful relationships with key stakeholders and managing the contractual agreements.• Updating key stakeholders’ profiles with relevant information (Premier League Risk Management) • Lead the EDI working group section on Disability to ensure the club is working as inclusively as possible, while working with other key areas of the club to ensure fans and other people are included. • Recruit new participants into sessions and retaining participation numbers. By offering creative incentives, such as match tickets, medals, and certificates. • Following club HR policies to ensure that colleagues are following the correct working directives. While also creating a greater understanding to be able to affectively investigate any employee related issues. • Following the recruitment process for replacement and new staffing roles, by writing job descriptions, interviewing, and assessing potential candidates. • Managing performance management of staffing team, performing regular one to ones and creating suitable development plans. • Coach education, training and up-skilling coaches into understanding what is needed to deliver a high-quality disability session.

During my time as an education mentor at the Huddersfield Town Foundation I had different opportunities to personally develop the skills needed to progress programmes further. • Managing the relationship between the English Football League Trust, University of South Wales and Football club. • Delivering educational lessons to degree level students. • Managing rotas of students on work-based learning and educational seminars for the students. • Researching and delivering further CPD opportunities for students and colleagues who reported directly to the Education Mentor. • To complete risk assessments and follow policies with the view to implementation within the club. - Recruiting participants via match day activities.

During my time at SWFCCP I had many of different roles, from NCS team leader to casual coach and assistant kicks officer. My main responsibilities as the disability officer included: • To plan and deliver high quality footballing sessions for community-based activities.• To recruit and retain new schools to engage with funding opportunities. • To communicate effectively with staff and participants.• Writing reports for key stakeholders and senior leaders around the performance of the programmes.• Maintaining records of participation to record on VIEWS to be reported to the EFL trust and Premier League charitable fund.• Safeguarding, having a great understanding of the safeguarding policies at the club and to be able to report to the club designated safeguarding officer.
