www.flightscope.comProducts: X3, Mevo, Mevo+, Mevo Range, Mevo Scout, FS Tour, XM Muzzle Velocity Radar.Processes: Injection molding, machining, assembly, laser cutting, die cutting, punch and bend sheet metal, PCB manufacture, and material finishes, DFMAResponsibilities: • Developed concept, industrial and mechanical designs, and product graphics. • Designed for manufacture and assembly including PCB and electronics fitment. • Authored product requirements, specifications and definitions.• Authored and designed product manuals, guides, packaging, and accessories, • Managed multi-team design reviews and provided detailed feedback on development stages. • Organised and coordinated project tooling timelines. • Collaborated with toolmakers, marketing, firmware and software departments to ensure that projects successfully met milestones. • Defined and ensured the aesthetics, intrinsic and extrinsic values of products remained on brand and design intent was carried through to the end product.• Collaborated with the production team to ensure successful assembly.• Actively engaged with production team on assembly line to ensure problem solving and implement required changes. • Organised samples and suppliers for various parts, manuals, packaging and shipping.• Interviewed and trained several industrial design applicants hired to fill my position in the South African office. • Spearheaded daily design and progress reviews with new designers.• Maintained adherence to ISO standards and FlightScope’s internal BOM and Engineering Change Management systems. Achievement: Voted by staff to serve as the white male representative on the Employment Equity Forum (EEF).
