• Partnering with the Board, stakeholders, and farmers, grew membership from 500 to 700 through the unification of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington sugarbeet growers.
• As part of agricultural Washington, D.C. fly-ins, schedule and accompany two teams of four growers to meet with 40 congressional offices.
• Relationships with Idaho Statehouse and Congressional delegation. Effectively lobbied Congress in favor of the Farm Bill. Spoke on the value of aerial application of pesticides in sugarbeet production.
• To be closer to decision-makers at the Capitol, moved association office to downtown Boise. Delivered industry overview presentations to the Idaho Agriculture Committee.
• Worked with designers to develop and launch new website and social media accounts. Social media reach at 210k+. Produced promotional video on the sugarbeet harvest. Currently at 17K views.

• Public policy liaison between constituents, industry groups, and Federal and State agencies, ensuring new policies were clear and implemented correctly. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Directed meetings with hundreds of constituents and addressed their concerns. Helped constituents secure meetings with the highest levels of federal agencies to resolve issues.
• Wrote and delivered speeches on behalf of the Congressman at industry conventions, meetings, and to the media.
• Implemented system for handling scheduling requests. Ensured the efficiency of the Congressman’s schedule.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

• Advised the Congressman on agriculture, natural resources, energy and environment policy. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Authored and introduced two pieces of legislation. The Idaho Country Shooting Range Land Conveyance Act gave 31 acres back to the community and was passed. The Future Logging Careers Act lowered the age for logging.
• Working with the Bureau of Land Management, pushed The Grazing Improvement Act, which renewed grazing permits on a 20-year basis instead of 10 years, through the legislative process, where it passed.
• Analyzed legislation considered by Congress and provided voting recommendations.
• Prepared committee questions, floor speeches, press releases, and newsletters.

Washington D.C. Metro Area

• Responsible for directly responding to thousands of constituent concerns with timely, well-researched letters. Recommended by Congressman Gosar for a promotion in another office. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Through policy research and partnership with policy advisors, addressed constituent concerns via letters, emails, and phone calls. Developed a pipeline that reduced pending letter count.
• Attended meetings with the Congressman. Represented the Congressman at briefings, hearings, and industry group meeting.

• As Staff Assistant, coordinated appointments between constituents and the Senator. Hired and trained interns on hosting tours of the White House, Capitol, Library of Congress, Bureau of Printing, and the Supreme Court..
• Transitioned tour booking system from hard copy to digital, developing a searchable database of tour schedules and approvals.
• Developed efficient front office procedures.

Responded to questions about the Senator’s positions and aided the senior caseworker with administrative tasks.
