I have worked in the Restaurant Industry for 15 years working my way from dish washer to executive chef and restaurant owner. I started my own company in 2007 in Indiana called Spire Catering & Event Planning and built the company to include 3 restaurants, a full-service off-premise catering company and a personal chef business along with offering private cooking classes. In 2015, after teaching as an adjunct for 7 years, I was promoted to Director and Executive Chef of the Institute of Culinary Arts at Robert Morris University (now Roosevelt University). I continue to cater and offer personal chef services to my loyal clients while restructuring and revamping the culinary school at RU in order to position it and its students to be more successful and relevant for our industry. At RU , I oversee the day-to-day operations of the department as well as the development of all curriculum and the professional development of the chef instructors. In 2017, I answered my call to ministry and began work on my second masters, a Masters of Divinity in order to pursue a career in Nonprofit Management.
