As IT Director my responsibilities include oversight of the IT infrastructure, provisioning, planning, installation and operational functionality of all technology for the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina encompassing 16 locations spread across 7 counties. Tasks include managing the system hardware, operating systems, software, and procedures that adhere to the organization’s values and goals. The overall role is to enable partners and staff to effectively work and minimize their time spent on IT.

At Blue Rhino I managed the network operations for a 100 plus server environment located in 2 data centers supporting 15 remote locations across the US. I managed the personnel who support these operations on a 24x7 basis encompassing everything from desktop support to infrastructure design and implementation.

I have worked on a team that supported a 300 plus Windows server Data Center for GMAC Insurance. I was responsible for the design and upgrades to the Active Directory infrastructure. I assisted in the design, plan and migration of the Windows NT to Windows 2000 Active Directory migration and supported the continuous improvement and monitoring of the Active Directory forest.

Administered a Dell 38 server corporate Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Active Directory Data Center for 14 divisions internationally in a clustered environment on an EMC SANS. I assisted in the design, plan and migration of the Windows NT to Windows 2000 Active Directory migration. The Exchange environment contained 3 corporate Exchange 5.5 servers that were the centerpiece of the corporate Exchange organization spread over 7 of these divisions. These servers were migrated to new server hardware and email services were consolidated to implement an email cost reduction.
