Beginning in 2008, I became General Manager for Darling International where I continue to direct all aspects of operations for the 20th largest revenue-producing facility in North America. In this capacity, I lead 6+ departments across sites in GA and FL with 110+ employees and an operating budget of $19M+. In addition, I work tirelessly to execute full accountability for a 200+ acre facility encompassing a 30-acre land application site and 9.6M gallon wastewater treatment lagoon in addition to the 44th largest fleet facility in the country. Much of my work involves handling $3.9M in cash flow as well as $2.7M in capital improvements focused on maximizing efficiencies, safety, productivity, and strategic business planning. For nearly five years, I served as Operations Manager and Site superintendent with PowerQuip, Inc. I led all business administration duties as the owner and operator of the company, I spearheaded business leadership as owner and operator of a highly successful construction company specializing in land development projects for commercial and residential customers. During my time with Highland Tractor Co., I supported service operations for a team of highly skilled mechanics responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilding of heavy equipment, semi-trucks, service vehicles, tractors, excavators, bulldozers, and others.In this role, I oversaw maintenance work for 15 employees in direct collaboration with manager, ensuring quality service and project completion. Here, I also owned administrative functions, such as regulatory compliance to both OHSA and EPA standards, monthly budget reports, staff scheduling, and employee relations.
