Profile bio

About Brad Hunt

I am a proven leader with 13 years of experience in career and technical education. After leaving public education, I started a new career path in the renewables industry as a solar technician for Invenergy LLC at the Samson Solar Energy Center. My daily tasks begin with creating our site plan of the day, which includes sweeping the site through the use of our SCADA network and checking for abnormalities such as inverter faults and communication failures, assigning daily tasks to our site teams, and ensuring the POD report is ready for upper management and site owners. I also ensure teams are getting their daily tasks completed in a punctual manner throughout the day. Other tasks include troubleshooting inverters and tracking systems, performing inspections and maintenances, and ensuring our parts are accounted for and inventory is correct. I’m also responsible for ensuring daily work orders are correctly completed by the team and are ready to be closed. My role as a QEW LOTO Champion requires me to train and certify technicians and site managers as qualified electrical workers. I constantly strive to increase my knowledge and leadership skills as well as my electrical troubleshooting skills in order to better myself and my team. Safety is always my top priority and producing the highest quality work in a timely fashion is imperative.
