Physical Security SME for the TVA Police Eastern Region. Point of contact for the region in the absence of the Regional Captain.

Asses and analyze risk posed to TVA facilities and perform physical security assessments annually, or more often as needed. Collaborate with Technical Security Specialists to determine security needs, and then assist with design and planning of countermeasures for assigned facilities, including schedule and cost estimates. Develop and maintain core competencies with industry standards for physical security techniques and countermeasures. Promote culture of security and develop positive working relationships with TVA facility tenants and maintain continuous liaison with facility tenant management. Advise supervisory officials on problem areas determined by the security survey process and risk evaluations. Conduct training for customers on security awareness, workplace violence, regulatory compliance and emergency planning. Perform law enforcement duties to include investigations and response to criminal incidents, alarms and other emergencies.

Appalachian Sector

Law enforcement duties including marine patrol of 6 TVA lakes in NC, TN, and GA. Other duties included Honor Guard member, CPR and First Aid Instructor, and Physical Fitness Coordinator.
