System Administration Consultant • Responsible for performance analysis and capacity planning for a dynamic, multi-client fixed income application environment. Activities include analysis and reporting the impact of business volume on batch performance and managing capacity for development, testing, and client regions. • Managed the implementation of a high-availability plan for development and change management processes. Project scope covered a review of the backup process, identification of the most critical development and code management libraries required for real-time replication, third party software licensing for the high-availability environment, fail-over test planning, and periodic review of the plan and replication configuration. • Secured the development and change management environment in accordance with best practices. In order to ensure the continuity of development, testing, and change management activities, security changes were supplemented with various configuration changes. • Developed a high availability plan for the web front end infrastructure into application servers. Activities included identification of outage / fail-over scenarios and coordination of test steps with the network group and application staff.

On a daily basis, resolved supply chain and finance application issues for the U.S. and Latin America, while deeply involved with strategic projects, corporate initiatives and JDE upgrades.• Migrated the U.S. distribution application, from an IBM to an Oracle platform. During this project, provided specifications for interfaces, security and batch scheduling. In addition, planned and executed the orderly shutdown of the retiring system, while working with IT staff and business managers throughout the U.S. and Europe during test phases for the new system.• Controlled all aspects and layers of security for U.S. and Brazil distribution and finance systems. Also provided audit compliance, security and technical solutions to other business units throughout the Americas.• Merged Brazil’s finance and distribution applications with the U.S. JDE instance and created production, test and development environments with flexibility to handle core JDE, along with customizations for each country.• Managed the migration of the company’s U.S. and Brazil finance applications to a new data center. The project involved significant data, interface, third party software analysis andcoordination with Sony groups and business partners throughout the world.• Designed an SFTP process, which integrated Open SSH with application processes and procedures, for handling secure interface communications. Responsible for developing and enforcing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and overallaudit compliance for all company applications.• Designed and implemented solutions for controlling IT staff access to productionapplication processes and data. In some cases, mitigating audit controls were required toprovide developers and business analysts with flexibility to quickly handle productionissues, while still satisfying audit compliance.• Worked closely with senior managers, from various Sony business groups, to redesignapplication security based on business roles. • In conjunction with a manufacturing system integration project, improved the turnaround times for supply chain transactional processing. Also, improved interface processing reliability and integrated interfaces into the scheduler to further reduce application processing lag time.• As a liaison to company warehouse and manufacturing sites throughout the U.S., researched and resolved supply chain interface data issues. And replaced obsolete Advanced Peer-to-Peer Communications (APPC), for distribution/warehouse interfaces, with more reliable and cost effective FTP. • With an understanding of distribution and manufacturing application workflow, made critical decisions, determined application project scope and assumed a leadership role for planning application changes.• Worked with senior level business managers to schedule application processes, based on business requirements. • Responsible for capacity planning, application performance and the nightly batch process. Coordinated a batch optimization project, which resulted in a two-hour decrease in batch run time, and improved online availability for additional business volume.
