We are an all volunteer fire department that strives to protect and serve our resident's. We cover 50 square miles of a mostly rural community. We assist 11 other departments communities in their time of need.Currently I’m in Logistics, purchasing and grant writing. Previously as the Assistant Chief I assisted in the management of approximately 18 volunteers within our department. Training, safety and guidance is the most important aspect of the position. Accurate communication, adapting to changing situations is very critical in our field. I've served on our fire board in the positions of secretary, vice president, and president. National certification in Fire 1 and Fire 2 through KU.
