Drafted research memoranda on topics concerning the National Flood Insurance Act, National Flood Insurance Program, and Ascension Parish’s recently revised land use ordinances including changes in the new ordinances, criteria used for granting or denying an application for development, procedures and criteria used for requesting a variance, issues concerning police power, judicial review of Parish decisions, issues of potential liability as a result of those decisions, as well as issues concerning discretionary function immunity and takings clause claims.

Researched and analyzed pending motions in civil and criminal matters, drafted memoranda and judicial orders/rulings, observed hearings and sentencing, analyzed party document filings, and performed citation checks.
