Art Director
- Responsible for coordinating all activities in the art department and managing a team of 4 people.- Creating simulated process separations.- Creating digital proofs for client approval.- Monitoring the work, speed and accuracy of the assistant production artists. Scheduling the hours of the assistant production artist, depending on work flow.- Handling/monitoring the progress of any rush jobs to ensure timely delivery to production.- Assisting project managers, sales manager, and customers with any questions or problems concerning art. - Checking files/art for any problems or issues and finding a solution.- Assisting the production staff with any questions or concerns about art or printing.- Creating company promotional items such as ads, business cards, brochures, flyers, price lists, stationery, etc.- Press checking the first production print of any difficult or problematic jobs.- Creating original designs for customers who are not able to supply their own art.
