When working as the Conductor I am the job foreman. I maintain compliance with all train orders, signals, bulletins, railroad rules and regulations. I review instructions from dispatchers and yardmasters. I then discuss them with locomotive engineer and train crew.I receive and transmit information by radio and/or telephone. Before doing my work I read and understand work orders and switch lists.I assist and instruct train crews to couple and uncouple cars, operate switches, and make minor repairs to rail cars, including replacing heavy coupler knuckles and air brake hoses. I work with customers to ensure accurate movement and placement of cars.As a conductor, I maintain awareness of surrounding areas and suspicious activity to ensure rail safety. Prior to departures I do all required inspections of equipment and rail cars.

Network Security Intelligence Unit Officers are part of a larger team that at some point will assist an investigative group, support, senior police management decision making or generate intelligence products for the purpose of awareness to frontline officers. An intelligence officers' primary focus is collecting and possessing information. As well as conducting security evaluations on new facilities and current criminal issues. Some of this information may potentially be very sensitive. The procurement of the information and the development is the ultimate function of an intelligence officer.

As a CN Special Agent I protect and ensure the safety of all employees, customers, public, and pedestrians while on or about CN Railroad property. I protect shipments entrusted to CN against theft and vandalism, investigate crimes on or against the railroad, and participate in public safety activities including Operation Lifesaver. CN Special Agents support the general mission of the police department, prevent crime, and protect the interests of CN. In addition, I provide essential and physical protection to sensitive rail shipments including military shipments, munitions, and spent nuclear fuel, and protect the national strategic rail network vital to national defense and interstate commerce.
