Directed the daily warehouse, storeroom and packaging operations and a team of ~20-30 FTEs supporting a liquid coffee processing plant. Continued all responsibilities of planner/area leader.• Leadership Training – Created and delivered a frontline manager's training program providing the Team Leads with the knowledge and tools to manage their team performance. Trained the leads on fact-based problem identification-based measure performance KPIs and how to build a 90-day performance improvement plan.• Continuous Improvement -- Worked with the Process Engineer on new approaches to improve workflow and processes that increase manufacturing and packaging quality.• Productivity -- Implemented work processes and operator training to drive machine reliability, maximize availability and production by giving machine operators the responsibility for basic maintenance tasks.• Strategic Planning – Led the production-side of the plant closure plan while meeting packaging and logistics goals with a reduced staff as employees left the operation. o Developed a skills matrix showing the skill sets required to fulfill orders and the minimum staffing levels needed for a safe, productive environment. The matrix enabled the company to backfill open slots with qualified personnel from different teams resulting in the highest efficiency numbers on the packaging line.

Post-M&A Process Integration -- Supported the transition of Sara Lee’s liquid coffee processing plant into JM Smucker’s operation.• Developed and executed a comprehensive transition plan to convert Sara Lee's reporting process into JM Smucker production systems; this included all planning, procurement, and reporting of finished goods. Completed the project within six months.

Supply Chain/Logistics• Planned shipments and managed the carriers delivering finished goods to local frozen warehouses. • Coordinated roasted coffee deliveries to the Sara Lee and MZB plants. • Developed the planning and ordering process of raw materials, including packaging and green coffee.Plant Startup and Operations -- Traveled to Joure, Netherlands, for a 12-week training of the entire liquid coffee value chain, including the manufacturing process, supply chain, and logistics. Managed production teams of up to 20 FTEs.• Developed and executed production planning process for liquid coffee manufacturing and set operating procedures, safety practices, and standards covering all plant operations.• Trained and coached the core staff and new employees on procedures safety practices to meet the skills requirements of the liquid coffee manufacturing process.
