In my years of development I have worked in many different languages and technologies. I am currently up to date in with .NET 8 and Angular V17 I’ve worked on SQL Servers through my tenure of development. I’ve gone from simple “just use it” as a developer to a full DBA role. I’ve designed production systems for daily use and I have designed dimensional databases for analytics using SSIS to populate and load the data. Since the cloud is a big deal now, I’ve installed SQL server on Linux to help with cost savings. I’ve set up automated deployment processes in local datacenters using various technologies. I have also setup the automated deployments in GCP using GIT repositories and loading docker images to Serverless instances. Speaking of GCP I’ve set up the google load balancer to send traffic to the various GCE instances for api and UI. I’ve worked on MongoDB and implemented that into my applications. I’ve used a hosted solution, so administration of it was very limited. My business experience has been in the healthcare field, parsing ANSI X12 files, writing analytical reports on healthcare data and working with FHIR APIs. I have extensive experience working in Epic App Orchard utilizing the API's and integrating them in to .NET Core infrastructure.

Company Owner/CtoClaimrev Jan 2022 - PresentDesigned a cloud based medical claims processing system. This system processes Professional, Institutional, and Dental claims while providing near real time information about the scrubbed claims. The rules engine can add or remove required information that billing software may not be able to provide. The smart EDI parsers can get most badly formed EDI and create a good claim out of it. This makes for nearly no rejects at the file level, only claim level. We have a full featured claim editor that allows editing of any field in the claim. This should help make billing easier where the biller doesn't have to go back to the billing software and resubmit claims. We can work with other software companies to develop API's that integrate into their own software. The processing system stays current with .Net 7 and an Angular 15 frontend. -

Sr Software EngineerCareatc, Inc. May 2016 - Jun 2018Tulsa, Oklahoma, UsWhen I started, my job was to maintain the dimensional data warehouse. I quickly discovered that the data was modeled incorrectly. After talking to the business about the data and what they hoped to gain from the warehouse, I re-designed it from the ground up. I created new fact, dimension, and bridge tables. I also created new ETL packages in SSIS that load the warehouse nightly and once complete only have a few minutes of downtime.Outside of the warehouse I design queries for the company for the reports and dashboards they need. These are all connect to the portal in C# in common data access controls using a web api framework.I work some in the web, doing MVC, with javascript and Knockout. -
Senior System ArchitectInfinedi Oct 2011 - May 2016Tulsa, Oklahoma, UsDesigned the new system databaseDesigned and wrote the a new .net input system, that parses Ansi 837 EDI and print image files of claims.Designed and currently writing and implementing the larger part of the systems.I was working with a high availability sql server running 2014 Enterprise. I setup backup jobs and designed the backup plans. I also did performance tuning on the databases. This ranged from better indexing, rebuilding indexes, RAM allocations, and even working with the temp database to help speed up all around. The data access layer of most of the system were in EF6. I learned how to work with EF to get the most speed out of it for batch processing.Used here: SQL Server 2014 Enterprise, SQL Server 2008r2 Standard, VS 2015 C#, EF 6, and VB6. -

Application DeveloperDeloitte Apr 2005 - Sep 2006Worldwide, OoWrite Web applications using ASP.Net 1.1 and 2.0 in C#Act as technical lead to teamDesign and write reusable custom controls for web applicationsProject Overview Revenue Recover & Revenue ProtectUsing business rules given to my team by consultants. I helped design and write these web based application using C#. The applications were used at hospitals to recover lost revenue from insurance companies and patients. The major design decision I had my team focus on was code reusability. For this reason I wrote a custom table control, which could be used by multiple applications we were working on. This control would read it's configuration from an xml file. This would help because various clients wanted different fields on the work list. Then using reverse binding would let us display any other control on the grid. -
Web Systems EngineerRed-Man Pipe And Supply Feb 2004 - Apr 2005Write Web applications in Cold FusionUse Webmethods to work with EDI transactionsWrite forms and reports using FormsPathProject Overview Web Order EntryOn a team helped design the companies first order entry system for the web. Using ColdFusion and JavaScript. The application had to be responsive enough to encourage users to use it over the old text based version. The challenge of this system was to use enough JavaScript to "appear" fast while trying to conserve memory on Windows Terminal Servers.Customer Integration Using WebMethods, CF, PHP, or Perl wrote systems that would either read EDI documents into the company database or write EDI documents to be sent back to customers or banks.Document Printing Solution (FormsPath project)Wrote CF or PHP applications that created the data file required by FormsPath to print the required form, for example print an invoice to give to customers. Warehouse Management SystemDesigned and created a packaging workflow system for the company's warehouses. The web application was written in ColdFusion and tied into the printing side of the Web Order Entry Project. Once the invoice was finalized the order was sent to several printers in the Warehouse that were close to the parts being ordered. The multiple pick lists were then accounted for and combined into a packing slip.
