I am a seasoned optical engineer and CEO/President of Advanced Scientific Concepts (ASC), a company that pioneers 3D Flash LIDAR™ technologies and cameras. ASC's patented 3D video cameras collect full frames (128x128 pixels) of 3D point cloud data per single laser pulse (Flash LIDAR), up to 30 frames per second. Our technology has enabled cutting-edge applications such as Rendezvous and Docking with the ISS, Asteroid sample capture for the OSIRIS-REx mission, collision avoidance and robot navigation.Before my role as CEO/President at ASC, I served as the Continental Automotive Optics & Lasers Manager, where I led the development and implementation of optical sensing systems for autonomous vehicles. Prior to that, I was the Director of Research at ASC, where I spearheaded research and development initiatives to advance our 3D Flash LIDAR technology. I also previously served as the Director of Engineering at ASC, where I managed the development and commercialization of the company's products.Earlier in my career, I served as a Principal Optical Engineer at Agility Communications, a Senior Optical Engineer at Karl Storz Imaging, and an Optical Engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company (SBRC). Throughout my career, I have been granted multiple patents for my contributions to the field of optical sensing and imaging.
