I am an experienced chartered professional engineer with significant experience in management and technical delivery of complex and high-risk projects within healthcare building services and industrial sectors.Building on a base of practical engineering skills and broad theoretical understanding, my attention to detail and investment in the outcome of projects has led to becoming a trusted mechanical services designer within the NSW Healthcare space, producing constructable, commissionable, maintainable, and compliant designs for complex brownfield hospitals. As part of my role, I regularly manage a team of subcontractors across different disciplines to deliver all-services packages for projects and maintain key client relationships. Specific projects delivered include pharmaceutical cytotoxic cleanrooms, human tissue preparation cleanrooms, operating theatres, sterile stores, isolation rooms, medical imaging suites, base building infrastructure, and general ward areas.With most of my professional life within small and medium consultancy firms, I have taken on significant responsibility early within my career. Having personally delivered numerous healthcare mechanical designs from feasibility study through to final commissioning, I have a deep understanding of the many requirements and constraints of healthcare facilities and clinical staff, the practical considerations, as well as the unique project and client management needs of these projects. Being involved through the full project, I ensure designs performed by myself and my team are constructable and commissionable. Alongside the healthcare space, I also perform work within the industrial temporary works space. Having become known in this industry as a practical yet safety-focused engineer, I have performed training presentations to site teams as well as regularly performing high-risk design and onsite reviews of pressurised services throughout the major east-coast tunnelling projects.
