In my time at Smartpatient, I have been part of a big team of designers (at its biggest 7 of us). I was instrumental in the hiring process for the designers that started after me. I also helped with mentoring junior designers to help them get going in their careers. I have been part of several key features of the application, in terms of both maintenance, as well as improvement of the features.

During my time at Workpath, I was working as the main designer on the product team. I was helping to create a new design system for the team as well as pushing out new product features for the Workpath product.

During my time at Hyve Innovation Company, I worked as a UX/UI Designer that focused on building quality working MVPs for various clients. Projects/Clients included Tüv Süd, Hatz Diesel Engines, Audi, Continental, Biomora etc.

At Shiji Deutschland (formerly Hetras), I was the lead UX/UI Designer. Working together with the product managers and developer, I was in charge of the design system and full update of the redesigning of the system. Working with the project managers I conceptualised new screens, new flows and how best to update the product for the users.

During my time at Ignition group, I was instrumental in helping to bring all web design and front-end development work in-house. My focus was initially on email newsletters, ensuring that consumers were able to access them on any device. By the time I left, I built the user flow and UX for the brand’s apps that were being developed. I was the lead front-end developer and designer.

Whilst working at Thumbtribe I had a varied role, consisting of Account Manager as well as Graphic Designer. I was in charge of various accounts, these included Rajah spices, Unilever Deals, Ponds, amongst others. I also created content for the blogs, updated the website monthly, and designed monthly advertising content for the brands as well as many others.

For my first year, after completing my studies, I worked for myself on building my portfolio as well as getting experience in the design industry. I learnt how to balance design and time management to achieve goals and timelines. Clients included brands such as the Golden Arrows football team and Natal Dolphins cricket team (for both I was in charge of their Social Media as well as the websites on game days); Mattress Clean (Packaging and branding).
