Standards which enforce extensibility and a pragmatic approach to costs, necessary in the media industry today.Liaising with a wide spectrum of business representatives discussing requirements and solution options.Roadmap and strategy guidance for product roadmaps along with Product Owners.Solution analysis and costing to support business cases.Conducting research and analysis on potential products and technologies.Engineering proof-of-concept prototypes to validate or communicate design decisions.Creating and maintaining design artifacts for development teams to implement and test against.Provide guidance on system security for compliant solutions.Collaborating with development teams, including attending scrum ceremonies.Feeding back into the Architecture Community of practice and technical governance processes for the wider business.

Providing expert level subject matter expertise for the Media and Customer systems and technologies. Developing a digital content management system integrating to 32 legacy systems to manage and distribute all media to a number of platforms.Constructing deliverables to achieve the project benefits that such large scale integration and automation solutions can bring.• Led the technical planning, designing and implementation of SKY TV’s new integrated Media Assest Management system• Using UML / Object Oriented design methodology to build a futureproof data model to cater for SKY’s expanding demands• Provide leadership and technical guidance to ensure a robust solution was being built to meet stringent non-functional requirements within exceptionally tight deadline• Supporting Business Analysts to document High Level Requirements and Detailed requirements to support Business Cases and Development• Create workflows for transitioning from Current state to Future state• Design and Build of a Test, Development and Pre-live Environments• Analysing the 9 Petabytes of content stored in the existing file storage; and creating an algorithm to determine what content to move when based on licensing and transmission date• Work with third party vendors across different systems and time zones to design, build and implement a fully integrated digital service• Support Development team to prioritise bugs and new code development• Support Test Team in all system integration and code development testing• Analyse Risks, escalate issues and manage change control• Provide guidance on security for a validated software solution• Write and deliver training to application support groups to ensure knowledge is in place for post go-live support• Design implementation plans and present go-live documentation for technical delivery of several phases and upgrades
