As part of an Office of Naval Research grant I studied how hypersonic flows affected the harmonics of various vehicle designs up to Mach 5.• Wired a remote start device into the programmable logic controller (PLC) which increased the overall safety of operating the wind tunnel.• Recalibrated the diffuser to ensure correct boundary layer propagation.• Implemented a test chamber redesign to correct past chamber over-pressure which increased the chambers pressure tolerance by 8%, and allowed us to test at Mach 5.• Imaged the flow pattern of various vehicles at Mach 5 though the use of Schlieren imaging.
