I am a versatile, results-driven communications professional that is successful at accelerating exposure and carefully managing the reputation of global organizations in the medical, aerospace, technology, and higher education sectors. My expertise covers the areas of media relations, public relations, marketing, analyst relations and social media. My philosophy is simple, but extremely effective: build strong relationships, be strategic and produce high-quality communications materials. Currently, I manage product PR activities for global enterpise-level technology solution provider OpenText (formerly Micro Focus). I work closely with the company's analyst relations team and product marketing groups, as well as manage in-house personnel and the contracted PR firms. My accomplishments include instituting and maintaining the content calendar and inbound media request tracking systems and a 60-percent increase in media coverage in FY22. The product areas of responsibility include ITOps, DevOps, COBOL/mainframe modernization, cybersecurity, information management and governance, databases, and AI and analytics, which includes many SaaS offerings.Previously, I successfully drove public relations, social media and content creation activities for global database leader FairCom Corporation and its product line: FairCom DB, FairCom EDGE IoT Database, and c-treeRTG legacy system modernization and migration solution. Prior to this, I managed PR and media relations activities at StorageCraft Technology Corporation, where I was also the architect of the company’s social media network. My accomplishments include:• Successfully planned and executed numerous PR campaigns at FairCom and StorageCraft. • Increased media exposure by 400 percent at StorageCraft.• Built a vibrant social media community for StorageCraft through which the number of followers increased by 1,033 percent and traffic from social media to the company website increased by more than 500 percent.I worked for 13 years with NASA’s human spaceflight program in progressively responsible roles for mission operations and space biomedical research. My efforts resulted in award-winning communications and marketing materials, the execution of successful PR/marketing campaigns and the management of a 1,000-page website. Before moving into PR and marketing, I was as a reporter and an editor. During this time, I developed a deep working knowledge of AP Style and an intimate understanding of how news organizations work.
