Commercial Metals Pty Ltd - CometalsCometals is a division of Commercial Metals, a USA based multinational involved in steelmaking, recycling and trading and distribution of goods to heavy industry. • Manage sales to major customers such as BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Arrium/OneSteel, BlueScope, Xstrata• Operational Management of Cometals store in Perth, WA including operational budget, controlling costs and supervision of staff • Product Management / Development: Manage product portfolio as a business: Source new or alternative products for sales force to supply to market - Vet sources and producers to ensure quality and commercial reliability - Investigate new products for new markets – expand Cometals into non-traditional areas• Purchasing: Negotiate product pricing, payment terms, terms & conditions - Determine best, most cost effective logistics options - Place order and monitor delivery - . Stock Control: Monitor product sales and liaise with sales staff to determine forward order quantities and required schedule - Ensure stock is not becoming “aged”• Working Capital Control: In conjunction with stock control manage payment terms assist sales team to keep working capital within specified requirements • Sales Team Support: Produce sales tools to assist sales team to offer products to market - Monitor product sales - Support sales team with customer visits, technical assistance, presentations, trials, etc • Tenders: Prepare major tenders and any associated presentations - Manage tender from sourcing product to invoicing • Budgeting: Prepare and present sales budgets in conjunction with sales team - Monitor and report results against budget • Safety - Oversee Cometals group safety - Monitor safety issues affecting operations - Ensure safety awareness of staff and continued OH&S effort• Projects: Manage projects as directed by General Manager
