Responsible for leading three underwriting teams located in the Chicago office. The Energy team is responsible for the Midwest Region energy business results through profitability, business development, analysis and monitoring a book of business, as well as attracting and developing underwriting talent. The Midwest region include Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Minneapolis, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas.Target segments for the energy practice are:1. Petroleum: Primary focus on upstream and midstream operators. Property, GL, Auto, WC, Umbrella and Pollution2. Mining: Target clients are Surface and Underground operations, coal mines, non-metal and precious metal mines. Property, Inland Marine, GL, Auto3. Power Generation: Target clients are Gas fired power plants, wind, solar, methane extraction. Property, GL, Builders Risk, Auto, WC, Umbrella, PollutionThe Specialty Casualty team is also responsible for the Midwest Region. The Specialty Casualty team has 4 primary areas of focus:1. Select Risk - Individualized account casualty programs for companies with challenging exposures on small deductible, SIR, or guaranteed cost program structures.2. GL Plus - Chubb’s proprietary form that offers combined primary commercial general liability and pollution liability coverage for companies of all revenue sizes, whose operations, processes or products present an environmental exposure.3. Construction - Non-collateralized primary solutions for GL driven construction risks.Two distinct areas of focus: A. Liability for Construction Contractors B, OCIP/CCIP Policies 4 Renewable Energy - liability and supported excess for those risks involved in the renewable energy space (wind, solar, biofuel, etc).The Umbrella team is also responsible for the Midwest Region - We offer monoline or supported primary umbrella and excess policies for a wide range of industries.
