In July of 2021 I joined the GeoVerra team in the Saskatoon office in the role of Survey Assistant. In my short time here I have had the opportunity to increase my skill set in the Geomatics sector. I filled the role of seasonal technology development assistant with Bayer (formerly Monsanto Canada) in the fall of 2008 out of the Edmonton office and moved to the Saskatoon office in 2009. In this role I worked to assist agronomists in development of new breeding trials for wheat and canola, and became a very qualified field technologist working with local farmers in growth trials for new canola species. In this role I started out as a field technologist in the materials department and helped to grow a laboratory. Through the time I spent in Grande Prairie, I developed skills in geotechnical engineering with the completion of field investigations. Upon transferring to the Edmonton office my skill set grew to include environmental site investigation (Phase 1 and 2), slope stability analysis, field water quality testing and hydraulic conductivity tests to name a few.

As a summer student in my second year of completing my IRM diploma, I joined Bioforest Technologies in the role of Forest Health Technologist. Working in the field I was able to assist in the development of the spruce budworm and Dutch Elm disease programs that were offered by the Government of Saskatchewan. As a summer student I was given the opportunity to join the Government of Saskatchewan fisheries enhancement division in Prince Albert. Throughout the summer I assisted biologists in field studies, worked with crews in spawning season, and was able to take part in small studies in Saskatchewan working with fish health and population distribution.
