I am over the operation and ministry of The REC at FBC Owensboro. I use sports and recreation to share the gospel to the community and build up the body of believers.

I work in conjunction with the Minister of Recreation & Community Outreach. I am the main guy for our flag football upward sports league. I also head up the social media for the Quail Athletic Center and Upward Sports leagues. I am over our weekly podcast for our Upward parents and design/publish our monthly newsletter. I also make it my goal to share the gospel with those coming in to use the recreation center. I play pickleball with the seasoned adults, basketball with the young guys, and lift weights in the weight room.

My responsibilities as Campus Recreation Director includes Hire and train recreation employees, Manage hourly employee time cards, Schedule hours for employees, Monitor the financial aspects of the Recreation Center, Monitor and maintain recreational resources, order new equipment via purchase order through the business office, Communicate duties and responsibilities to recreation staff, evaluate employee performance, assist with Student life events and promote recreation at events such as the student life fair, reports directly to the associate dean of students, in charge of social media for The REC, plan events and help with intramural sports.

Invested in males involved in the ministry, mentored students in their everyday Christian walk, responsible for activities such as planning “guy’s nights,” Bethel University and UT Martin Noondays,and occasional worship and speaking at UT Martin’s BCM worship service, led bible studies at UTM and Bethel University, and led mission trips, oversaw the council and assisted in planning events through guidance

Took classes that had me get college credit for working for our campus radio station, doing on-air hosting, writing and producing commercials and PSAs and doing remote broadcasting for sporting events.

My duties include, but are not limited to, distributing press releases, serving as media host and generating official statistics for home events, producing media guides/game day programs, coordinating event operations and maintaining the official UT Martin athletics webpage. The office also files historical records, submits information to the Ohio Valley Conference and NCAA on a daily basis and serves as the primary media liaison for the department of athletics through local, area, regional and national media.
