I began working in the aviation business right out of high school where I began as a warehouse worker for a wholesale avionics company. I worked hard and was promoted to an inside sales position, later to an outside sales position and finally to branch manager. The company was sold in 1986 and I joined the new company which was in the retail avionics and maintenance business in general aviation. I started as sales manager handling primarily avionics sales, was promoted to VP of sales where I was responsible for all the day to day sales and daily operations. I am now President of the company. We have expanded greatly over the years and now offer FBO Services, Hangar and Office Rental, Avionics Sales and Service, Piston and Turbine Maintenance, Mail Order Sales, Pilot Supplies, Aircraft Detailing, Detailing Training Classes, Detailing Chemical Sales, New (Cessna) / Used Piston and Turbine Aircraft Sales and Aircraft Acquisition Services. We have an affiliated company that offers Aircraft Management Services, Charter and Flight Instruction. In 2008 we moved form DuPage Airport where we had been for 33 years to a new home at Aurora Municipal Airport . Our goal is to be the number one FBO in the USA. Our hard work has paid off as we were voted the #1 FBO in the Americas by readers of Aviation International News (AIN) in 2011 after just 2 years of operation. We were voted #1 again in 2013, with a 2nd in 2012, 3rd in 2014 and tied for the #1 spot in the 2015 survey! This is out of a total of more than 3000 FBO's, many of which are owned by Fortune 500 companies.
