Conducted research related to manipulation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone response system in rodents through dietary supplementation of deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA). Results suggested synthetically created salt appetite in rodents lead to anhedonia, as measured by a negative shift in the pleasure-response curve. This was measured using electrodes implanted in the lateral hyphothalamus of the rodent.

Taught boat fishing and worked with at-risk adolescents in a short-term psychotherapeutic residential treatment center.
