At the University of Illinois, ophthalmologist Dr. Brad Anstadt received a BS in biology, achieved induction to the Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa honor societies, and earned the Bronze Tablet for graduating in the top 1 percent of his class. He went on to complete an MD at the University of Illinois Medical School and an internship at Weiss Memorial Hospital. During his final year as an ophthalmology resident at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Brad Anstadt acted as chief resident.In practice since 1985, Dr. Brad Anstadt serves as a physician, co-owner, and president of the private practice Gottlieb Eye Center. With offices in Westchester and Melrose Park, Illinois, he provides services ranging from routine eye examinations to retinal laser surgery, and has extensive experience in the treatment of such conditions as glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Anstadt has also conducted research at the Illinois Eye and Ear hospital and previously held a position on the finance committee at Loyola University Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, where he remains a member of the staff.Actively engaged with colleagues, Dr. Brad Anstadt belongs to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association and the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He contributes to Lou Malnati’s Cancer Research Fund and supports Keshet, a Northbrook, Illinois-based provider of assistance programs for people with autism. Besides passionately following the White Sox, he enjoys playing golf at White Deer Run on Sundays and reading Harlan Coben novels.
