I was responsible for overseeing the full recruitment process. At SEETEC I work on a dual contract role in which i deliver and support on 2 DWP contracts, first contract is MWA (Mandatory Work Activity) this contract is used by Job centres, for there candidates to help them bridge gaps in employment and to help them learn relevant skills and experience which may help them get back into full time employment. This is done by placing the clients into a working environment for 4 weeks either in a charitable organisation or a social enterprise, which is a requirement of the contract. While on placement the clients are able to stay in contact myself and i am able to offer support and advice when needed. The employers also need to stay in contact with myself to ensure that the clients are doing what is required of them while on placement and if they need any support from myself regarding the clients. As a co-ordinator i am always in search of new placement opportunity’s to diversify what we have to offer clients so i am regularly making B2B calls to try and secure new placements, to try and diversify what experience we can offer the clients. However this is difficult due the clients being mandated to attend their placements. This contract is measured in KPI’s on the attendance of customers to their placements in the 4 week programme.The second contract that i support on is called WP (Work Programme), this contract is in place from the DWP to provide support and guidance to customers on benefits, to help them to secure employment. this highly target driven role can be very demanding as many of the customers have been out of work for a long time, this can mean it’s very hard to find them work. As a CLC my job is to work alongside my colleague and when customers fall out of work, my job is to find them work as quickly as possible and offer support and guidance while they are un-employed. This contract is measured on the amount of jobs which are placed monthly.
