I am a Full/Endowed Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Brigham Young University. My research lab focuses on a Cell-free Synthetic Biology and Protein Engineering approach to:1) Develop technology of extreme-low-cost, high-fidelity, point-of-care and at-home biosensing for virus detection, cancer treatment, and endocrine disruptor avoidance.2) Engineering on-demand shelf-stable system for low-cost protein therapeutic systems to make cancer therapeutics available to the world.3) Creating more potent 2nd generation biologic therapeutics through site-specific PEGylation.Specialties: Biosensing, Protein Engineering, Protein Production, Synthetic Biology, Biochemical Engineering
