Brad has amassed over thirty five years in architectural practice with small- and medium-sized companies in Boston area, San Diego, San Francisco bay area, and New York. Licensed to practice architecture in California since 1993, and in New York since 2001, Brad recently added NCARB certification to his licensure suite. Self employed for twenty four years, running three companies: ARCH Architecture , CADenza Architecture Design & Planning, and Ashokan Architecture & Planning, PLLC (for the past nineteen years). In the past twelve years, AAP’s practice has expanded to include a greater emphasis on planning and sustainable design.Brad was elected twice to the City of Kingston Common Council, representing as Alderman the city’s Third Ward. During his tenure, he served on the Common Council’s Finance Committee and chaired the Laws and Rules Committee. Brad successfully legislated to save historic canal worker houses along the Rondout Creek, saved and facilitated - with the late Mark Yallum and the Kingston Preservation Inc. - the stabilization of the Nathaniel Booth House, and as alderman, coordinated with the buyers of the Trumbull-Amacher House, which was subsequently fully restored.Specialties: Virtual CAD modeling, BIM (Building Information Modeling using ArchiCAD 24 and Twinmotion 2020), integration of alternative energy and heating/cooling systems into building and facilities design.
