I want to democratize urban meadows, and I invite partners in this endeavor. Develop and maintain custom software that manages the team’s R&D data, including data from the IoT sensor network. This included presenting live demos, 1-on-1 programming support, serving as a teaching assistant at meetups, serving as lead instructor at meetups, and hosting ask-me-anything sessions.

Product Development Manager: Led the product development team as we developed and introduced the EcoCline green roof system, developed marketing collateral for all company products, led the firm's intellectual property department and obtained 2 patents for EcoCline, lead researcher and author of the www.mineralwoolingreenroofs.com white paper. Led performance research and regulatory approval, successfully achieving first-of-its-kind performance-based stormwater management approval for EcoCline by the Maryland Department of the Environment and the District Department of Energy and the Environment. Presented Furbish's work to various audiences including the Mid-Atlantic Green Roof Science and Technology Symposiums, University of Maryland Plant Sciences classes, and Cities Alive of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities.

Developed and implemented a holistic quality control process, including skill set analyses, mentoring, scoping and contracting, design development, and construction documents. Strove to optimize all aspects of the design process that culminated in construction for higher quality and higher margins. Oversaw construction of approximately $30 million in landscape construction. Managed design and planning projects for hundreds of millions of dollars of work in the US and abroad. For nearly a decade I worked on improvements of Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey, a park designed by John Charles Olmsted, which boasts the largest collection of flowering cherry trees on one site in the U.S., most of which I hand-selected and field-located.
